I organized and presented  a panel discussion addressing some of the many ethical and privacy concerns emerging in web and mobile applications, with follow-up discussion.  Topics include dark patterns, and data collection and privacy. 2022

Rhode Island College news featured SimpleChartsRI a Web-based software built by RIC undergraduate students under the supervision of Sally Hamouda who inovated the idea of the website to serve RI high school teachers.

The University of Rhode Island  features the hands-on workshop which gave area teachers access to current marine science data and provided insights on how best to visualize such work for the classroom. The workshop introduced teachers from across the state, who were compensated by the Consortium for participating, to best practices when visualizing information for students that have not yet learned the academic framework and vocabulary to make meaning of scientific data.
